Paul Young returns to the lane and is the center of this season's mystery.Īccording to Cherry, he had intended for the series to conclude after its seventh season, but the eighth season ended up being the series' final season. New housewife Renee Perry is introduced in this season. The deceased Mary Alice Young continues to narrate the events in the lives of her friends and Wisteria Lane residents, Susan Delfino, Lynette Scavo, Bree Van de Kamp and Gabrielle Solis. That being said I wouldn’t say I love Gaby but I do like knowing what I’m getting into with her.The seventh season of Desperate Housewives, a television series created by Marc Cherry, began airing on September 26, 2010, and concluded on May 15, 2011. I was a fan of Susan until this trend began appearingĪt least Gaby is blatant in her selfishness and doesn’t pretend to be another way It is especially frustrating to see this continue when it comes to the last season and we see her sabotage not only Carlos but his non profit from receiving a pretty large donation just because the money is no longer going to her, and she can’t wrap her head around Carlos wanting to do well for others less fortunate.īut at this point I can’t even be disappointed since she’s said herself she is selfish and greedy throughout all of the previous seasons.Ĭontrasting this with Susan who to me feels like she became much more greedy and self centered towards the end, refusing to think about how her actions could effect others (taking away her daughters choice to give the baby up for adoption, guilting her into keeping it for an example, and with feeling guilt over covering up the death of a repeated sex offender who assaulted and traumatized one of her ‘best friends’- to me this shows a lack of empathy as she makes it about herself and her own guilt to the point where it puts everyone else at risk with her actions), despite this she still acts like she’s this morally right, nice person that is always the victim and it is exhausting to me personally. That's it,įor me Gaby’s redeeming quality is that she doesn’t pretend she is a good person, and owns up that she is selfish, self centered, and greedy all the way through the end. Juanita, she probably would've understood Gaby, the woman said she could her husband because he was abusing carlos and her, so clearly she knows what it's like to deal with a man even though carlos wasn't abusive he was in Gabys head hard to deal with. Need I say, I believe if she had just opened up to Ms. Juanita or had any remorse for her actions, I would think seeing my husband cry would cause some feelings, but nope Gaby was still Gaby. What makes this even worse is that she doesn't feel bad for Ms. Solis would have never ran out into the streets if Gaby hadn't screamed, "Well don't just sit there, Get her!" And of course John chases and she runs away then gets hit by Andrew, its basically a growing tree branch that pops out apples on different sides, but they're still connected by the same parent. Yes Andrew ran her over, but remember Ms. ![]() Gaby decided to trick into her back to her addiction just to have an affair with again a child, why? Because she is a selfish character and mind that Gaby and John did have some part of that woman's death. ![]() I know it's probably meant that way but she has way too many negatives on her back, the biggest one ofc was committing statutory rape and not saying anything when Susan got punched in the face by the mother. Gaby solis is just super selfish and greedy for me to like her as a character.
